With fourteen years, between 6th March 1988 and the end of the 2001-2002 Double season, as captain of Arsenal, with 669 appearances, 59 goals and 10 major trophies, including League titles in three different decades, Tony Adams is regarded as one of the Gunners' greatest ever players.


Adams signed for Arsenal as a schoolboy in 1980 and made his debut on November 5th 1983 against Sunderland in front of 26,064 fans at Highbury. Spending his entire playing career of 22 years at Arsenal, Adams won four English top flight division titles, three FA Cups, two Football League Cups, a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, and three FA Community Shields. A statue honouring Adams was unveiled at Emirates stadium on 9th December 2011, along with statues of Thierry Henry and Herbert Chapman
