Manchester City 1994 Retro Shirt
Cult Manchester City shirt when Maine Road was the Moss Side oasis. Worn by Noel Gallagher in the iconic Oasis photographs taken by Kevin Cummins in the lead up to the release of the Oasis debut album 'Definitely Maybe' in 1994. Worn by City for the first time in the FA Premier League in the August '93 opening day 1-1 score draw versus Leeds United at Maine Road when Garry Flitcroft scored for City at the Platt Lane End. What a season. 100 years of being called Manchester City. Player-Manager Peter Reid replaced by Brian Horton after just 4 games. City legend Francus Lee replacing Peter Swales as Club Chairman - "Forward With Franny". The last season of the Kippax terrace too. City managed 38 goals in 42 FA Premier League games with Mike Sheron and Niall Quinn leading the way with 6 goals each, Uwe Rösler scored 5, and both Paul Walsh and Carl Griffiths scored 4 goals. No wonder goalkeeper Tony Coton was the 1993-94 City Player of the Year.
