Andrew Cole joined Newcastle United, from Bristol City, as a 21-year-old for a club record £1.75 million in March 1992, making his debut on 13 March 1993 away at Swindon Town. Cole immediately scored 12 goals in 12 games to help take Kevin Keegan’s United into the Premier League as Football League Champions. In United’s first season in The Premier League, Cole was unstoppable, and formed a lethal partnership with United legend Peter Beardsley. In all in the 1993-94 Season, Cole scored 41 goals in 45 appearances, was voted PFA Young Player of the Year and won the Premier League Golden Boot.  By the time Cole was sold to Manchester United in January 1995 for a £7 million cash-plus player deal, which saw Keith Gillespie arrive at St. James' Park, he’d scored 68 goals in 83 Newcastle United appearances.
