The Official Matchday Programme described the iconic, distinctively designed Chelsea 1994 away shirt as 'Graphite/ Tangerine/Navy'.
The shirt was launched for the 1994-95 season and also worn throughout 1995-96, most stylishly that season by Ruud Gullit, and by Manager Glenn Hoddle's two other marquee signings too. Mark Hughes and Dan Petrescu.
Drawn against Club Brugge in the 1994-95, UEFA European Cup Winners Cup Quarter-Final, just as they were in 1971, Chelsea wore blue in the 1st-Leg. At Stamford Bridge in the 2nd-Leg Chelsea wore the Graphite/Tangerine/Navy 1994 away shirt.
In Bruges, Chelsea had lost the away tie 1-0 but, in a pulsating 2nd-Leg played in a tumultuous, raucous Stamford Bridge atmosphere, Chelsea overturned the deficit with first half goals from Mark Stein and Paul Furlong to proceed to a Semi-Final versus Real Zaragoza and, in Estadio La Romarada in the 1st-Leg Chelsea again wore the Graphite/Tangerine/Navy 1994 away shirt.
