Manchester City 1996 No7 Kinkladze Football Shirt
"And all the runs that Kinky makes are winding". Gèorgiou Kinkladze. Georgi. Gio. Kinky. Manchester City cult hero. The Georgian genius made his Manchester City debut wearing the MCFC No7 shirt at Maine Road versus Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the 1995-96 FA Premier League season. Eike Immel and Kit Symons made their City debuts too, and Uwe Rösler scored the City goal in a 1-1 score draw. City won their first FA Premier League game of the season in November when Buzzer's son, Nicky Summerbee, scored the only goal of the game versus Bolton Wanderers at Maine Road. Two weeks later a virtuoso Kinkladze performance, and the goal, in a 1-0 victory versus Aston Villa at Maine Road seared Kinky into the hearts of The Kippax. Georgi Kinkladze 1996 Manchester City Player of the Year, and much more.
Noel Gallagher: "I watched Kinky for the first time and it was like 'Jesus, this is either the most frightening thing I've ever seen or it's the best thing I've ever seen."
