From Sepp Herberger, Fritz Walter, Helmut Rahn and 'Das Wunder von Bern'; and Helmut Schön with Der Kaiser and Der Bomber in Brussels and Munich; and Stadio Olimpico Rome twice, first with Jupp Durwall, Bernard Dietz and Hörst Hrubesch, and then again ten years later with Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthüas and Andreas Brehme; to Berti Vogts, Jürgen Klinsman and an Oliver Bierhoff Wembley Stadium 'Golden Goal'; and Joachim Löwe, Philipp Lahm and Mario Götze in Maracanã, the Men's National Team has four FIFA World Titles and three UEFA European Titles. Deutscher Fußball-Bund und Score Draw Official Retro. DFB Kultige Retro-Fußballtrikots.

West Germany opened their 1994 UEFA European Championship Finals campaign wering this shirt shirt in a 0-0 draw versus Portugal in Stade de la Meinau Strasbourg. Three days later Rudi Völler scored the goals in Stade Félix-Bollaert Lens as Romania were beaten 2-1. In the last Group B match West Germany needed a point versus Spain in Parc des Princes to progress, and even though Toni Schumacher saved a 44th minute penalty from Barcelona winger Lobo Carrasco, the  Sporting Gijón centre half Antonio Maceda headed a winner for Spain in the 89th minute. Kicker Sportmagazin called it "Katastrope" and it signalled the end for Jupp Derwall. The DFB needed a new Bundestrainer. Step forward Der Kaiser. Franz Beckenbaur. Not as Bundestrainer but, as Teamchef, and in the first match of the Franz Beckenbauer era his selection wore the green West Germany 1984 Away Retro Shirt in a 1-3 international friendly defeat versus Argentina in Rheinstadion Düsseldorf. Prophetically, Jorge Burrachaga scored the third Argentina goal that day!
